Sweet baby shower cake made to match invitations :) First damask stencil...not 100% happy with it, but not too bad for a first attempt I guess!

White and coral squares

Modern style wedding cake in a beautiful garden! The cake was white almond with torted layers filled with cream cheese and pinapples, and strawberry filling! I got lost for 30 minutes trying to find the venue LOL! Talk about nerve wracking!!

Tackle box and fish

This cake was a lot of fun to make! The cake parts are the tackle box and fish. The board is fondant made to look like wood planks and the tackle are made of fondant too! Marble cake, buttercream icing.

Spongebob Squarepants

I am loving this cake! LOL I watch SB just as much as my kids! Anyways, I decided to do this cake in all buttercream. The scene is Jellyfish Fields. I first airbrushed the hills with yellow (yellow+blue=green!) so I could get that light green color. Then, I piped on the outline of the hills with green buttercream and used a wet paint brush to swipe it upwards giving it the effect of a grassy field :D Used the leaf tip for the seaweed, and free handed the flowers, jellyfish and bubbles! The figurines are licensed cake toppers.

Another Kitchen update!!

Whoohooo!!!! Plumbing and electrical has been installed, the drywall hung and sanded!! Its a bit dusty still, but if all goes well, I will start painting in the morning!!! I still have quite a bit left to buy in terms of the tables, shelves, sinks....okay, so all I really have so far is an oven LOL! BUT ITS ALMOST DONE!!!! Excited doesn't even touch how I feel right now!!! Now...pink walls, green walls....pink, green, pink green...that is the choice I have to make TODAY!! So, now I am off to obsess over paint swatches...I hope I pick something I can live with a long time, I sure don't want to be repainting anytime soon!!

First Birthday!

My oh  my...Don't take this wrong, but I think I did a killer job on the cakes this weekend LOL!!!! I am so proud how far I have come in a year! This gives me some much needed confidence that I might actually survive in the cake decorating world!! The cake is a simple vanilla cake, and BC with fondant accents!
