Simple but super delish birthday cake!

This cake might look simple on the outside, but inside is a home made chocolate peanutbutter fudge icing that is simply irresistible! The cake is decorated in Vanilla buttercream with a little fondant dumbbell!

Baby Shower Cake

Sorry, no light box this week, too busy!! This cake is a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, and fondant ribbons! The top tier of this cake has a strawberry filling (yummy!!!) I mixed some luster dust in with a little vanilla to add shine to the bow. That vanilla made this cake smell even more yummy!

Black and White Birthday!

Simple, elegant design for this 51st birthday cake! Chocolate cake and cream cheese icing!

Mini Mouse!!

Mini mouse cake, cupcakes, and cookies galore!! This is a VERY busy week to say the least! Friday night was opening ceremonies for my son's tball! The cake is vanilla on bottom, and chocolate cake on the top two tiers! It is decorated in cream cheese icing, and fondant accents! The cupcakes are the same, vanilla and chocolate, with cream cheese icing! I had 14 of each of the cookies to make and they were so much fun! This is a basic sugar cookie recipe, and I decorated them with fondant, and piped with royal icing! Today, we have another tball game, but as soon as we get home from that, I have two more cakes to decorate EEE!!

Justin Bieber Cake!!

Okay, first off, this cake looks very blue, BUT IT IS PURPLE!! I can't figure out why it turned out so blue in the pictures...Blue or Purple this cake is super cute!! Vanilla cake on bottom, "Pink Velvet" in the middle, and Chocolate cake on top! All decorated with buttercream and fondant accents! I printed the picture and made an edible frame from fondant and decorated it with some little buttercream swirls :D I love the way this one turned out! I listened to JB during the making of this cake...his energy is in there!

Baby Shower

Okay, sorry everyone for the box photo, and the dowels still in the bow LOL! I had NO TIME to set up the light box for this one with the wedding cake underway. This cake is pink and pink all the way through! I made a vanilla cake, which I turned pink, used a strawberry filling, then covered it in pink fondant and did the look of a gift box with lid and ribbon!!

Contemporary Bridal Cake

5 tiers of "White Wedding" cake, with a Vanilla Buttercream finish. The middle tier has a strawberry filling. I took on a huge challenge this weekend with this gigantic wedding cake, the grooms cake, and a baby shower cake! I decided since I want my cakes to be as fresh as possible for EVERY CAKE I do, I waited as long as I could to bake them to avoid freezing them. SO as usual, Thursday morning rolled around, and at 8am, the baking marathon began. I baked from 8am to 1am. Yes, thats 17 hours of straight baking, then I woke the next morning same time, and decorated until 1am. THEN woke up 7 am Saturday morning to do the scariest part of the entire cake, STACKING IT. I used a center support system so that I could deliver already stacked. I may not do that again LOL!! Although the cake made it fine and not a smudge or (gulp) any toppling over, it jiggled the whole way there and I wanted to pass out when we finally made it to the venue hahah! After it was all set up, flowers in place, I couldn't believe that I had successfully created, delivered, and set up my first wedding cake!! I must say, it looked beautiful at Scranton's Restaurant amongst all the other flower and decorations that were being set up at the same time. Despite the late nights, and my heart stopping a few times, I loved making this cake! The sheer size of it provides drama, while the simplicity makes it beautiful. Congratulations to the new married couple! Thank ya'll for allowing me to be a part of your very special day :D

Alabama Groom's Cake

An Alabama fan's cake!! This cake is a 12in round chocolate cake, filled with the most delicious, make you want to slap your momma in the face, Nutella fudge icing ( seriously, its that good, I think I will name it that!). Then it is iced in a rich chocolate buttetercraem icing, and surround by many many delicious fresh chocolate covered strawberries! I almost lost it when I was in the craft store shopping for supplies for this wedding and came across this hounds tooth wrapping paper!!! I think it made the cake even more "Alabama" themed and was the finishing touch that makes this cake perfect!!

Hootie and the Cake!

Yes, I named this one too :D I really love doing these animal themed cakes LOL!! Hootie the owl is a RKT sculpture, covered in a layer of buttercream, then decorated with fondant! He is sitting on a modeling chocolate branch. The top tier of this cake is a Chocolate cake, with Chocolate Peanut butter Buttercream filling, and the bottom tier is Vanilla cake, with Cookies and Cream Buttercream filling! The cake is covered in Vanilla Buttercream, and decorated with fondant accents. I matched the colors of this cake to the invites the customer sent me!!
