Toy Story!!

Very happy with the way this one came out!! Both tiers are vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream. Buzz Lightyear is standing on a RKT moon (RKT: Rice Krispies Treats). I free handed the fondant cut outs on this cake! The toys are my gift to the birthday boy, I hope he loves it as much as I loved making it :D

My baby girl turns 3!!!

Gracie has talked about having a Little Mermaid cake for her birthday since I began decorating cakes! This was a labor of love. Vanilla cake with Vanilla buttercream icing, and fondant accents. I made the top tier a little extra special for the kids, filled it with cookies and cream buttercream! However, I quickly realized that even the "big kids" at the party wanted the cookies and cream too! Next time I will make sure to include the adults in the fun :P

27th "Cougar" Cake

LOL I love the story behind this one. The birthday girl's theme for her party was "Cougars", because she is so old now that she is turning 27! (YEA RIGHT) The cake is a chocolate cake with a cookies and cream buttercream filling, covered in fondnat! Ostrich feathers topped this wild cake!

Adorable Pink and Zebra Cake

This adorable cake is a vanilla cake, with vanilla buttercream and fondant accents! The bow is fondant as well. I gave the cake a "gift box" look with the fondant ribbons and bow. Zebra is so in right now! I just love it!

"Tangled" Themed Cake!!

My first cake to defy gravity!! The bottom tier, or "garden" is an 8in chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling, and vanilla buttercream for decoration! The top tier is a 4in vanilla cake, and has a fondant figure sticking her head out of a window, letting her hair flow down! I used a food safe PVC pipe as a center support system for this cake, which is covered in Rice Krispies treats. The roof of the tower is sculpted from RKT as well, and is covered in fondant! I am very proud of this cake, my first time making a support system of this kind and boy was it strong! I think we could have held this baby upside down and she wouldn't have moved a bit!

Bridal Tasting

Photos of the spread of my first bridal tasting! Starting with the first picture: This is an overall picture of the entire tasting spread I presented to my wonderful bride. I have the table set for two (It was supposed to be just her and her mother, but her fiance and best friend tagged along as well)-No problem! We made it work! ANYWAYS on the wedding plateau I have the cakes displayed. On their plates I spread some strawberry filling for the bride to sample with each cake she tried so she could get a taste of her cakes with, or without the filling. Now, moving down to the third picture in our spread, I have a close up of one of the "Mini Wedding" cakes. This cake is "Wedding White" vanilla cake, covered in a crusting cream cheese icing. The next picture down is the other "Mini Wedding" cake, only this one is "White Wedding" vanilla, marbled with chocolate cake, filled with a white chocolate ganache, and then flawlessly covered with fondatnt! The cupcakes: All 6 cupcakes are chocolate cupcakes, 3 are topped with my staple white buttercream, and the other 3 were topped with a whipped chocolate ganache. I am very proud with how the spread turned out, and even more please with how smooth the appointment went with the bride and her guests!
