Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!
I loved making this one with my kids hanging around! We sang Mickey Mouse Clubhouse songs all day! Everytime I would call for the kids I would say "Oh Toodles!!!" Then they would coming running in laughing and telline me their names weren't Toodles! (We, they still answered didn't they? Too much fun!) The cake is a 2 tier chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, covered in fondant! The customer brought the little figurines when she came to pick up the cake so I could snap a picture with them on there! Oh, one day, I will break and take a photography class and learn how to use my camera correctly!

Topsy Turvy Spring Wedding Cake!
EEEE I love how this wedding cake turned out! It so different, not your cookie cutter wedding cake for sure!! The cake is vanilla cake, with strawberry filling, and covered in chocolate ganache! This cake gave me problems in the beginning though...for some strange reason, my fondant kept tearing! After it nearly brought me to tears, I finally got it to work on the 5th try :P I airbrushed the entire cake with a shimmer to make it **SPARKLE**

Happy Birthday Nanna!!!
All right, I did it!!! HUGE fantasy flower is the show stopper of the week! I painstakingly made this flower out of layers of red fondant, and once it was dry, I airbrushed it with red shimmer to make it really pop! The cake itself is a small two tier cake, 4in and 6in. chocolate cake, strawberry filling, covered in chocolate ganache and then decorated with fondant. The black ribbon is fondant as well. This cake was too special and dramatic to sit on a hod-um cake board, so, shes rests on a pretty little mirror! She has NO idea I was making her a cake, so I hope she will be very surprised and love it!

Chic Parisian Birthday!
Very beautiful party! My friend is wonderful at pulling together these cute parties! So, my contribution was the cake...She showed me a picture to take inspiration from and I made it my own! The cake is a 2 tier, 10in and 6in, vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream decorated with fondant! Fresh roses top the cake, and a dramatic Eiflfe Tower candle gives it the finishing touch and ties it in with the rest of the party decor! I am very very please with all the cakes I completed this weekend! Not too much longer before I can officially call myself a pro!

Ice Cream, Milkshakes, and Lollipops OH MY!
30 cupcakes decorated to look like sweet treats! We have icecream cupcakes, milkshake cupcakes, and lollipop cupcakes! The cupcakes are half vanilla, half chocolate, each topped with either vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry buttercream!! These turned out so darling! I had to make myself a few extra for ummm....quality control purposes ;)
And to accompany the cupcakes, I made a special party cake and matching smash cake for the birthday girl! Party cake is a chocolate cake with cookies and cream buttercream!

New oven!!
Wow, WHAT AN EXCITING DAY TODAY!!! Lets back up to Sunday....My father in law paid us a visit and mowed the lawn (I know I am spoiled!) While cooking dinner, I was asking him questions, asking his opinions, and expressing my dream of closing in the carport so I can call myself a legal bakery. I guess he understood how bad I want this, and how serious I am because he took it upon himself to pay a visit to the planning commission and HD, even got online and tracked me down an oven!!! Boy am I impressed with how quickly this man can get stuff done! He went today to inspect the oven and sent me some pictures of it. He found me a barely used double convection wall oven!!! And because its used, got us an AWESOME deal on it! I am tickled pink! Today has made me feel like I am just that much closer to my dream! It will still take some time, and tight wallets to make building the little home bakery come to life, but we are on our way! I couldn't have asked for a more supportive family. I AM BLESSED! Now, I will debut the new oven! I haven't named her yet because I have not been able to meet her just yet, but I will get the chance to see her in the morning!

Kaitlyn's Sweet 16!
OMG I love how this one turned out! This cake was inspired by a Pink Cake Box design (My favorite cake designers)! The cakes are chocolate cake on the bottom tier, vanilla cake on the top two tiers, all filled with cookies and cream buttercream, and covered in fondant! I free handed all of the letters to spell KAITLYN and stuck rhinestones on them. (Rhinestones are NOT edible, and should be removed before consumption!!) Also, got the chance to use some new techniques learned for Sugar Ed Productions DVDs I got this week! Sharon Zambito is an awesome teacher :D
